Its been a fun ride but all good things must come to an end. And the end in this case is that the Ireland Online servers will most likely be pulled by the end of this month.
I'd start looking for a new home now if I was you.
As for the outage yesterday, the servers will be restarted later today.

Awww! Oh well, it was a good home for some Civ IV games while it lasted - including the uber-slow original.
Plus Chi was selectable as an avatar.
Thanks for all the good work.
@ Priam....looks like we'll never meet in battle after all!

Can I ask what happened Rev? Is it a case of whoever in Esat looked after them no longer works there or whats the story?
If the boxes still exist, and I had another contact to get one of them online, is that a possibility? With CPL just choosing Q3 as their World Tour game for 2006 and 2007, it is becoming popular again, real shame to have the server whipped out from under our feet just when we started using it again
:(

Well it seems that the servers may not be going to that big server farm in the sky.
Pug over at unreal.ie (http://www.unreal.ie) is going to be looking after them.
So a big Huzzah !
O, the Pirates guys will be so pleased to hear that. Would it be best for me to pop over and introduce my self rev?
Woops, only just noticed this one....
Yea sure I'll take them on that's no problem, I offered already, but never heard a yea or nay back as to whether they were even needed anymore.
