Upcoming expansion will apparently feature pbem campaign games for the first time- might be a nice change from Civ 4. Who has this who will also be getting the expansion?

I didn't bother getting it because I didn't think it would have anything new from RTW, but if it adds PBEM in the expansion, then I'll get it, especially if we're playing it here. Should make a much more sensible wargame than Civ4.

I'd certainly consider getting both the game and expansion if there where a few games organised.

I've got M2TW, I'll get the addon for PBEM. I suppose combat would be auto resolution though. It would be more like diplomacy than anything else perhaps.

i gave up on total war series after i failed to beat the tutorial in that game (though it might be med 1 total war).

seriously, ive played civ since civ 2, but not too many other strategy games, i found total war rome goodish tho, thats last strat game i have i think.
