That, dear friends, is the question.
Do we dump this game and start a new, quicker game, perhaps a scenario, perhaps a normal game set on fast and set in a later era?
Or do we carry on?

I think its dying a death to be honest. My vote is to scrap the game and start a new one

I prefer the slow games, but I am willing to start again, if everybody is bored...

Actually I think that everybody can agree that a new game is going to start anyway, How about I set one up.
I think there is four people right? (post to confirm)
I don't think its possible to do senarios in PBEM
Small/tiny map size
Inland sea map
Quick Speed
Cheating off
Random seed on reload (randomises combat if you play tour turn again)
Id say 24 hours from now (ie 3:00pm good friday), thats your deadline post here if you want in the new game...
Of course I am open to suggestions on the setup
/edit actually I think we should say what leader we want too.

Do we want a new forum for this game or will we stick with this one.
If you do give us a name for it and either max or myself can create it.

I dont think a new one is nessessary if we are not going to play the other one, Maybe a rename of this one to
Civilisation 4 - PBEM - Redux
if everybody is pissed with the first game then we should probably lock the other threads.

Nope I'll be sitting this one out. tbh you're better off with the reduced numbers.

I just realised that Tok was looking for more than one starting city.
You can start with more than one settler if you start from the medieval era onwards but tbh I was close to two cities in the last game and I think I would have had two by 2400BC which is much earlier than the starting date for the Medieval era.
The later you start the less you will be able to do in game. Honestly I would say start with the classical if you are worried about units. Maxs game started in the ancient era and they seem to be going ok, but click this link and decide yourself http://www.darkkeep.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=107

Nah don't worry about that, was just a suggestion to get things going sooner. To me the fun really starts when you can make trade, sanctions, form alliances, espionage, borders etc. Seemed like we were never going to get to that stage in that game. :(
I'd like to start a new game anyway, so sign me up. Not sure who I'd like to be, but sure stick me down for the Japs again for the time being.

I'd love to play in new [quicker] game, but wouldn't mind keeping the 'slow game' brewing in the background, especially if any of the other players are still on for continuing.

Ill PM Alejandro Alem the first turn then he can password it and pass it on after the first turn we should go back to the in post attchment method...
